Mary Hart, DPT, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who®. As in all Marquis Who’s Who® biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected based on current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all considered during the selection process.
Dr. Hart is a distinguished professional in the field of physical therapy, with an impressive career spanning more than 40 years. As the owner of Hart Physical Therapy® since 2011, she has dedicated herself to providing personalized care to her patients. Her approach involves treating individuals one-on-one, observing their movements and teaching them how to reverse undesirable habit patterns. She is adept at addressing multiple body systems simultaneously and guiding patients on how to alleviate pressure on their central nervous system. Her expertise in both traditional and holistic physical therapy has earned her recognition as a leader in her field.
Dr. Hart’s journey in physical therapy began after she earned a Bachelor of Science in physical therapy from the University of California, San Francisco, in 1982. She went on to Kaiser Permanente hospital in Vallejo, California to complete a residency in Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF). In 2019, she received a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Utica College. Her life’s work has been the development of The Hart Technique®, an integrative, whole body, systems approach for vibrant health and improved functional mobility. Her commitment to continuous personal and professional development is evident through her certifications as a DreamBuilder® Coach and Life Mastery Consultant from the Brave Thinking® Institute.
Throughout her career, Dr. Hart has been featured in various publications, including an article titled “Making Moves” in SRQ Magazine in 2016. Her dedication to advancing the field of physical therapy is also reflected in her certifications in Graston Technique® and dry needling. She also provides free vision workshops for the community to enhance their mind-body awareness. These efforts underscore her commitment to empowering people to take more responsibility for the vibrant health and quality of life they so desire.
Dr. Hart attributes her success to her faith in GOD and her commitment to love and truth. She believes that our thoughts shape who we are, as Proverbs 23:7 says: ‘As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.’ Using this belief, she models her mind-body approach, The Hart Technique®, and helps others discover their best health from the inside out with compassion. Mary says, “Letting our light shine is something we practice, one step at a time.”
Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Hart is a devoted mother to two children. Looking ahead, she is preparing to launch a podcast aimed at helping people achieve their best health within a healthcare system that truly meets their needs. Additionally, she has created a unique exercise routine that she plans to introduce through an online program. With trademarks for The Hart Technique® and Hart Physical Therapy® officially registered, she is poised to share her insights with a larger audience through a TED Talk and expand her influence and have a good impact on others.
