ProTek Devices’ Newest TVS Array Delivers Board Level Circuit Protection in Mobile Devices

The New Component is Also Ideal in USB Fast Charging Voltage Buses, Batteries, and Industrial Equipment to Protect Against Electrical Overstress to Lightning and More

The PVCOM24 offers a fast response time, a low operating voltage, low leakage current, and a low clamping voltage. It is compatible with IEC standards 61000-4-2 (ESD): air plus or minus 30kV, contact plus or minus 30kV; with 61000-4-4 (EFT): 4kV – 5/50ns; and with 61000-4-5 (surge): 37A, 8/20 microseconds.

It features 1,600 Watts peak pulse power per line (typical = 8/20 microseconds), unidirectional configuration and it has a high peak pulse current capability. The PVCOM24 is also RoHS and REACH compliant.

Mechanical Details and Availability Information
ProTek Devices’ PVCOM24 is available in a DFN-2 package with an approximate weight of just three milligrams. This is a similar size package to a SOD-532 or 1.6mm x 0.8mm. It has lead-free plating and a solder reflow temperature (pure-tin – Sn, 100) of 260-270 degrees Celsius. It also has a flammability rating of UL 94V-0. Operating temperature is -40 to 150 degrees Celsius and storage temperature is -55 to 150 degrees Celsius. It is available via 8mm tape and reel, per EIA standard 481, in quantities of 10,000.
