NukeWatch Buys Families Valuable Time in the Face of a Nuclear Attack

While government nuclear operations focus on mobilizing government response, NukeWatch’s mission is to help families quickly get to safety

Nuclear explosion from height of bird’s flight.

In today’s volatile world, especially in the face of Russia’s recent attacks on Ukraine, the threat of a nuclear attack is prevalent. Similar to other everyday disasters, families should have a plan for how to react in the face of a nuclear attack. Thanks to a new nuclear notification and preparedness system, NukeWatch, families can now jump into action more quickly when a nuclear attack is imminent.

In the event of a nuclear attack, residents of the target area only have thirty minutes from the time of the warhead launch until impact. Minutes are precious, and the faster people can react and get to safety, the more lives can be saved. With this in mind, NukeWatch creator Christopher Foust wanted to create a tool to give people more time to get to their families so they can retreat to a safe space together.

Foust saw a need for the alert system given the delayed notifications that the US government sends during a pending attack. The government’s primary focus in the face of a nuclear event is to mobilize its team to respond. This results in lag times communicating an incoming attack to the public, typically only giving citizens two minutes to get to safety. On the other hand, NukeWatch notifies its network of users of a nuclear warhead launch within seconds, giving them 20-25 minutes more time to communicate with their families, shelter in place, or leave the area.

NukeWatch’s Nuclear Emergency Warning System (NEWS) is linked to a Central Command Center hidden away in the Rocky Mountains, which is connected to three other monitoring stations across the nation. Unlike other nuclear monitoring centers that rely on technology and AI to monitor global activity, NukeWatch runs on 24/7 human monitoring, allowing the team to notify the public more quickly in the face of danger. The secure bunker is also fortified to remain active during an attack to keep its network continuously informed of the events happening around them.

Their mobile alerts take less than five minutes to set up. Once activated, the NukeWatch alert system places users on its communication list, ensuring they are notified via text message in the event of a nuclear attack. NukeWatch tests its system weekly with text messages to ensure proper functioning. Users can also access current news and expert insights into global nuclear activity to stay on top of current events.

In addition to serving as a nuclear notification system, NukeWatch also allows users to proactively plan for a nuclear attack with an online control panel. This dashboard helps users calculate safe zones in their cities, print roads maps for their state, and watch videos providing valuable information regarding their safety and survival.

“These times are intensifying,” said Foust. “In the event of an ICBM attack, you have only minutes to move to a safe location. I would want my own family to have this type of alert, notifying and providing them a chance to get to safety.”

NukeWatch offers promotional pricing of $0.99 for the first month and then $3.99 monthly following that. To learn more or purchase the NukeWatch alert system, visit www.nukewatch.com. Foust is also available for interviews via Zoom for media sources or organizations wanting to learn more about NukeWatch.

Bruno and Washington Champion the People’s Voice During Protest March

The Oklahoma Coalition Against People Abuse (OCAPA) and the Oklahoma Libertarian Party (OKLP) partnered up last Saturday to protest inhumane conditions and overcrowding at the Oklahoma County Detention Center. The crowd gathered at 1:00 pm and marched the streets surrounding the jail, symbolizing the Israelites march around Jericho in the Old Testament. Once they finished the march, they met in front of the jail to speak and hear first-hand accounts of experiences in the county jail.

Several people shared heartfelt stories and words, most notably Libertarian Gubernatorial candidate Natalie Bruno and OCAPA founder Michael Washington.

“We need to address the over sentencing and overcrowding right away,” said Bruno. “Oklahoma sentences non-violent offenders for an average of 78% longer than other states.”

Bruno, a declared Libertarian gubernatorial candidate in Oklahoma, announced criminal justice reform is one of her top issues.

Saturday’s protest and march were organized by OCAPA’s Michael Washington, who led chants during the march and had powerful words for the crowd.

“Thank you to everyone who showed up and who showed out. It was a truly humbling feeling to have been in your presence,” said Washington.

Bruno, Washington, and other protesters emphasized that they would be back every month until conditions in the jail were improved for inmates.

Frontline and Immigrant Workers Receive Care Packages In ‘Aid To Humanity’ Events By Iglesia Ni Cristo

Essential workers in British Columbia, Canada receive appreciation and a morale boost from outreach events of global Church.

The Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) or Church Of Christ launched a series of activities under the ‘Aid To Humanity’ initiative, aimed at uplifting the morale of frontline essential workers and immigrants affected by the current pandemic.

Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) or Church Of Christ ministers and members at the Aid To Humanity event at Surrey, Canada, on March 27.
INC volunteers in Victoria, Canada, hand out care packages to frontline workers during the Aid To Humanity event on March 28.

On March 27 and 28, 2021, INC volunteers handed out 480 care packages containing groceries to frontline essential workers who accepted the Church’s invitation to drive to the nearby INC worship buildings in Surrey, Burnaby, and Victoria, Canada.

The INC strives to play a part in appreciating and uplifting the frontliners in the greater Vancouver area and Victoria.

As stated by Statistics Canada (February 2, 2021): “Seven in ten health care workers who participated in a recent crowdsourcing initiative reported worsening mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic…”

Rose Ann Peralta, a nurse, was grateful for the token of appreciation she received. “I’m actually surprised and glad at the same time because not a lot of people appreciate what frontliners are doing. Many have been disregarding the frontliners’ effort, and I’m just glad that you appreciate what we do. I used to do my preceptorship at (the) hospital. I went there one day and it was the first day of an outbreak. It was really scary, and it was devastating for me to see the patients who have COVID-19 there. I believe that INC members have big hearts, so thank you for supporting the frontliners. Keep doing what you’re doing.”

The INC also distributed an additional 70 care packages to Mexican and Guatemalan immigrants working at a tulip farm in Abbotsford, Canada, also on the 28th. The care packages contained clothes and daily essentials.

According to Statistics Canada (May 1, 2020): “… [I]mmigrants were significantly more likely than Canadian-born individuals to report that the crisis would have a “major” or “moderate” impact on their finances. In particular, immigrant men were more likely than Canadian-born men to report that the crisis would have an impact on their ability to meet financial obligations (43% vs. 27%).”

Robert Baldidoy, the supervisor of the tulip farm, stated, “The workers are so glad and thankful that the Church Of Christ was able to reach out to them with kind-hearted gifts and donations. They appreciate the packages that they received, which will give additional aid for their daily needs, but most of all looking forward to learning about the biblical words of God taught inside the Church Of Christ.”

The INC has more than a hundred congregations and groups worship service throughout Canada. Eighteen of which are in British Columbia.

The Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) or Church Of Christ continues to conduct outreach and INCGiving Project activities to help organizations and communities in over 158 countries and territories where there are INC members of different nationalities and ethnicities.
