Retail Trading Revolution: How “7 Trades to a Million” Is Changing Wall Street

Retail trading has seen an explosion in popularity since the start of the pandemic, which has created notable trends in the market. The rise of Meme Stocks and other retail favorites forced the most established financial institutions to understand the “Robinhood trader.” Now, for the first time ever, more options are being traded than stocks and retail investors are seeking access to more sophisticated trading strategies.

A Wall Street Alumnus is finally making these strategies accessible to home traders with his breakthrough guide titled 7 Trades to a Million. Jack Winthrop chose the typical route of many aspiring Wall Street tycoons. He studied finance at a top university leading to a highly coveted job on Wall Street.

“While I loved working in such a competitive environment, I soon realized that any individual investor didn’t need a hedge fund to make hedge fund returns,” said Winthrop.

That’s when he took his biggest risk to date. He left his dream job to share the secrets of Wall Street.

Within a few short months Winthrop’s guide to retail investing has rocketed to the top of the Amazon Finance charts and been featured prominently on the front page of r/WallStreetBets, the center of the home trading movement.

“There was just nothing like this out there,” said Winthrop. “Working on Wall Street, people were reaching out to me about trading with more advanced strategies than typically used by retail traders. I realized there was no simple guide that could take somebody with no investing knowledge and have them trading more sophisticated strategies quickly. I think that is why 7 Trades (to a Million) has had such a great reception because people wanted the information in a way that was easy to understand.”

With his book, 7 Trades to a Million: How you can turn any investing budget into millions with options, derivatives, and other Wall Street secrets, Winthrop bridges that gap between retail investors and hedge funds.

“My goal through 7 Trades to a Million is to make the most advanced trading strategies understandable to the retail investor with little or no prior investing background,” said Winthrop. “You don’t need a finance degree or Wall Street pedigree to become a powerhouse investor.”

The book dives into everything from stocks, efficient market theory, spreads, ETFs, LEAPS, derivatives, bonds, index funds, KPIs, financial statements, 10-Ks, portfolio management, valuation multiples, net present value, inflation, day trading, hedge funds, institutional investors, VIX, and other high-level Wall Street trading instruments.

“Wall Street and Main Street have a knowledge gap, and up until now there were really no accessible resources to help bridge that gap,” said Winthrop.

Through this motivation, he decided to make this information easy and accessible, and he hopes that home traders will read his book today to become the next Robinhood millionaires of tomorrow.

“Five years from now, we’ll see a seismic shift in the investing world from institutions to retail investors, and people will look back at this book as one of the first to make these Wall Street ‘secrets’ public,” said Winthrop. “I hope the trading strategies I outline help others take advantage of the huge opportunities out there.”

NAIFA Expands Its Leadership in Life Institute (LILI) Product Line

The popular leadership development product line now includes an online cohort program option to allow NAIFA members to participate regardless of geographic boundaries.

The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) is proud to announce the general availability of its online version of the Leadership in Life Institute (LILI) program. The online version of LILI is a new extension of the product line that allows for participants to undertake the six-month program without the need to travel.

“The addition of the online LILI program will allow more NAIFA members to participate and graduate from the LILI program, but also fits nicely into the NAIFA 2025 Strategic Plan’s aim to be more inclusive.

“We celebrated LILI’s twentieth anniversary in 2020—right in the middle of COVID,” explains Brad Tapscott, CFP, ChFC, CRPC, NAIFA’s LILI Committee Chair. “LILI has traditionally been delivered in a small group setting that would meet in-person monthly for six months. COVID put a stop to all LILI classes due to the in-person requirement. When we realized that travel was not going to be possible for the immediate future, the LILI Committee got to work on creating a new online version that could be delivered with the same impact and intensity.”

The small cohort group will remain as a cornerstone of the instructional design plan, but now, members may participate from anywhere in the United States, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

“The addition of the online LILI program will allow more NAIFA members to participate and graduate from the LILI program, but also fits nicely into the NAIFA 2025 Strategic Plan’s aim to be more inclusive. Taking away the geographic boundaries will especially benefit members that are in large-land states where a traditional in-person class would not have been feasible,” stated Kevin Mayeux, CEO of NAIFA. “This new addition to our professional development portfolio is just another example of NAIFA’s ability to innovate in a rapidly changing marketplace to continue to deliver real value to its members.”

The first online LILI class will be held beginning in May 2021. Each month a new cohort group will kick off its six-month program. All LILI graduates are included in an exclusive LILI Alumni Networking group and meet together during NAIFA’s annual professional development conference, Performance+Purpose.

Get Ready for the Ride of Your Life, as The ABCs of HBCUs Takes Readers on a Front-Row, All-Inclusive Tour of Historically Black Colleges & Universities

From FAMU to Howard, the Divine Nine to Battle of the Bands, children learn about the love, lifestyles, and legacies that built these incredible institutions.

New children’s book celebrates Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Kamala Harris, Stacey Abrams, Toni Morrison, and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. all attended Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs.) Unfortunately, many children are unaware of these institutions. “The ABCs of HBCUs,” written by Claudia Walker and published by HBCU Prep School, is raising awareness about Black Colleges.

From A to Z, “The ABCs of HBCUs” gives readers a front-row, all-inclusive tour of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. It is the first children’s book to introduce young readers to college campuses like Howard University, Spelman College, Lincoln University and Meharry Medical College.

Readers also learn about time-honored traditions such as the Battle of the Bands, homecoming, and Black fraternities and sororities.

In a recent interview, Walker said, “As a teacher, I know that some students only learn about HBCUs during their senior year of high school, if at all. I want to change that, and ensure that students are exposed to these historical institutions as early as possible.”

Award-winning brand-designer Jessica E. Boyd provided the illustrations for the book. Boyd, a double HBCU alumna, captured and translated the essence of the Black college experience into a language that speaks to young children.

This is a debut book release for Walker and Boyd.

About the Author
Claudia Walker is an Oakland based author, speaker, and teacher whose work has been featured in the New York Times, Essence, and Vogue. As a proud second-generation HBCU graduate, her debut book, The ABCs of HBCUs”, is inspired by her undergraduate experiences at Spelman College.

Deeply committed to showcasing and celebrating stories that mainstream publications tend to overlook, Claudia launched HBCU Prep School, a publishing company that centers on Black voices and Black joy in children’s books.

The effects of Covid-19 on basic skills and education

English and Maths

Nobody can argue that the events of the last 12 months have definitely led to disruption with basic Maths and English, as well as Functional Skills. There is a question mark, however, over whether schools have been able to overcome these obstacles in order to ensure that learners stay on track? These are answers that many parents/guardians are looking for with some feeling that education has been on hold for many learners. Is it enough to be expected to complete Functional Skills online.

It came as no surprise that A Level and GCSE (https://www.learnnow.org.uk/igcse-home-study-distance-learning-courses-online.html) examinations were to be cancelled again in England for the summer 2021 series, however for many students it brought it’s own stress. Although many welcomed the fact that grades would be decided by teachers rather than exams being sat, others felt that this caused them anxiety, as the outcome of these examinations were completely out of their control. Most are resolved to the fact that whatever the outcome, they have done their utmost best and await the results.

Although for some types of employment, you will not use your English or Maths skills, employers still expect individuals to be educated to at least a level 2, before they will even invite them for an interview and applicants are finding that they may be disadvantaged because of this.

Many learners who would normally be looking to continue into full-time employment following completion of their GCSEs, must now consider other options available, such as apprenticeships, where they can continue to complete their Maths and English skills by way of Functional Skills or GCSE subjects. With the outlook of limited employment opportunities available, it is thought that colleges could become overwhelmed with applications from prospective students who would not normally be choosing this route to further their careers.

Pupils taken out of school even for short breaks are less likely to achieve good results in English, maths and science, according to DfE research. This makes for alarming reading; considering the impact Covid-19 has had on education in the past 12 months, particularly within early years settings.

Whilst the situation above may seem rather bleak, we must not forget the resilience of children and how they seem to bounce back in a way that most adults are unable to do so; returning to school after school closures as though they had never been away. We also have the optimism of Teachers who have been desperate to return to a school setting, where they can recommence face to face teaching, which is what they have been trained to do and why they signed up in the first place.

Latest job numbers encouraging but a lot rides on federal job investments: Canada’s unions

Canada’s unions are calling on the federal government to create more than one million jobs in the upcoming budget, pointing to today’s job numbers as further evidence of the need for expanded investments.

Statistics Canada released its latest Labour Force Survey today. It shows that more than 1.5 million unemployed and under-employed workers continue to struggle to find work, and thousands more have dropped out of the labour force altogether.

While February and March numbers showed strong job gains, the cresting of the Third Wave in April and subsequent lockdowns mean many of those gains could be lost.

“Following February’s achievements, a second month of strong job growth is welcome, but the federal government must stay the course and ensure a strong and broad-based recovery,” said Hassan Yussuff, President of the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC). “We need to see strong fiscal support to bring people back into the job market, especially women and workers of colour, and into decent green and care-economy jobs.”

Last fall’s Speech from the Throne promised the largest investment in Canadian history in training. That investment is what Canada’s unions will be looking for in the federal budget on April 19.

Ambitious investments in training and education are much-needed over the short- and medium term to help workers affected by ongoing technological change. Unions want to see expanded investment in upskilling opportunities and targeted support for the 30% of jobless Canadians who count among the long-term unemployed.

“Now is the time for a rapid return to full employment and investing in improving job quality to help workers fully get back on their feet,” said Yussuff.

Jessup Launches School of Psychology

Expansion driven by a mission to integrate psychology with sound Christian principles and new academic delivery models

Jessup School of Psychology

William Jessup University is proud to announce the launch of its School of Psychology. The Department of Psychology has been expanding its program offerings for a number of years, launching multiple new delivery models at the undergraduate and graduate degree levels. The School of Psychology was launched in August 2020 in accordance with this expansion.

My professors have helped me learn more about myself, which in turn has given me new insights into others.”— Current psychology student

The mission of this new entity is to recognize that psychology, integrated with a seasoned, mature faith and anchored to sound Christian principles, can influence and guide the university, community, culture, and those who are preparing for the helping professions.

“We recognize that each student carries a vision into the future, beyond what they may even know, and it is the mission of this school to tap that potential and help them direct it toward a fulfilled life where they have the capacity to help others,” said Jeff Stone, Ph.D., Dean, School of Psychology. “We seek to model careful faith integration, where core beliefs confront the confounding and often confusing aspects of life. We consider this a privilege and a calling.”

“I am a completely different person since beginning this program 26 months ago,” said a current MACP graduate psychology student. “Thinking of myself as a therapist is amazing and such a privilege. I have grown personally so much. I see people and the world vastly different than before.”

The faculty in Jessup’s School of Psychology possess solid scholarship in their field, and each member brings a unique capacity to help round out the academic experience for students. Some of these unique contributions include expertise in the blending of biology and psychology, blending Biblical and psychological principles, sensitive attunement to evolving issues of cultural diversity, and sound clinical wisdom in the counseling professions. Each faculty member wrestles with the psychological complexities of life in light of God’s revelations and each carries this vision into the mentoring relationship with students. This unique blend of faith integration and scholarship sets the William Jessup University School of Psychology apart from similar university programs.

“My professors have helped me learn more about myself, which in turn has given me new insights into others,” said a current psychology undergraduate student. “No matter what career I pursue with my psychology degree, I will be bringing deeper interpersonal and intrapersonal skills.”

ONLINE EDUCATION SUCCESS REVIEW: HUGE RETURN ON INVESTMENT ACHIEVED BY ONLINE BUSINESSES

Return on investment (ROI) is a ratio between the cost of investment and net income. It is a measure of how much investment cost is recouped by profit. A high ROI means that the gains made by an investment compare well to the cost of procuring the investment. ROI is often used as a performance measure. It is a way to evaluate the efficiency of an investment, or it can be used as a method to compare the performance of different investments.

Investments that pull in higher profits have higher return rates. The more profitable a business is, the likelier it will recoup the cost of its investments. There are many ways how profit can be increased. Some may answer that profit margins can be increased, meaning getting more profit with every sale. But the higher profit margins are, the pricier the commodity will be. But as Economics 101 explains, high prices deter demand. Low demand lowers sales and low sales lowers income and ultimately, lowers profit.

So instead, most businesses aim for increasing sales figures. The more items sold, or the more services rendered, the higher the income generated. Having higher income yields higher profits. Higher profits hasten the return of investment.

So the next question is, how to increase sales? For one, businesses can lower prices which may attract demand – that is if businesses are willing to further defer recouping of their investments. However, a better strategy could be to employ marketing.

Marketing is the promotion of a business. It aims to create interest, attract customers, and increase sales. Interestingly, marketing itself is a business investment. Having it adds to the overall cost of business operations. But if marketing is devised and executed well, it will yield returns that will cover all business investments.

When it comes to marketing services, one digital solutions provider is chiefly known for its high ROI offerings and that is Online Education Success.

Online Education Success offers a range of digital marketing services. The variety serves to address the different marketing needs of online businesses today.

An example of its digital marketing services is its Email Marketing Package. Email provides many advantages over other types of digital marketing. For one, it connects directly to its target market. By being able to communicate directly to individual customers, email marketing proves the least costly and most customizable among full marketing strategies.

When it comes to market reach, Online Education Success’s Social Media Advertising Package is hard to beat. By capitalizing on the popularity of social media and its organic networking nature, Social Media Advertising Package allows online businesses to further their reach into the market, increase brand awareness, double website visits, and expand their market share.

When it comes to improving a website’s searchability, Online Education Success’s Search Engine Optimization (SEO) package is a must-have for all website owners. The service applies the best SEO strategies in a very affordable package. The service includes a custom SEO strategy, keyword analysis, link building, On and Off-page SEO treatments. With the SEO package, a website will enjoy first-page search engine ranking in no time at all.

After promoting a business through email and social media, the next step for any business would be to employ a method to finally seal the deal with the customer. This means making the final pitch to persuade the customer to buy the offered goods or services. The most powerful means to do so is with a video sales letter (VSL) and Online Education Success has just the service to help online businesses conceptualize, script-write, and even produce their very own VSL.

The resulting video sales letter can be used in conjunction with other marketing services and increase their persuasiveness. It can be used as content for a social media campaign. It can also be embedded in the marketing email to provide a multi-media reading experience. Last but not least, it can be used as web page content to improve SEO and make a final bid to secure a sale.

All of these methods are aimed at improving sales, increasing revenue, and making businesses more profitable. And when a business is profitable, only then will huge returns on investments are achieved.
