AnyTweet Helps Twitter Users Create Their Own Merch Store

With Twitter’s new approach of charging users for account verification, many have announced their plan to leave the social media platform rather than pay for a subscription. For some, the only way to make the expense worthwhile is finding a way to make money from tweets.

AnyTweet allows Twitter users to profit from their own words through a personal merchandising store. Vasily Danilenko, the CEO of Merch38, designed AnyTweet to help users create merchandise from their tweets.

“AnyTweet was developed as a service to benefit writers, performers and anyone who would like to create merchandise based on their content. Now tweets can be made into products sold for profit in a user’s personal store. With AnyTweet, you don’t need to know anything about how the products are made or delivered. You can set up a shop and start making money from your tweets in minutes,” Vasily said.

The Future of Merchandising

Tweets are valuable historical reference, reminding us of a place in time through memes, news bytes and journalistic insights. Twitter is better suited than any other for merchandise, with content full of statements, irony, sarcasm, humor and sincere audience opinion wrapped in succinct blocks of content. One of the rules of successful merch is relevance, and Twitter is more relevant than any other social network.

Over the past several decades, clothes have transformed from a basic closet item into a powerful tool of expression. The simple t-shirt is now a statement t-shirt complete with a feeling of belonging to a subculture, and individualized statements are the wave of the future.

How AnyTweet works

With AnyTweet, users can set up a merch store with their own tweets in minutes. The creator does not need to buy merchandise; the service will create and send the product and the author of the tweet will get the profit.

The service works on a print-on-demand basis, which means items are only made once they’ve been ordered. There is no initial investment required, no need to dive into the technical details of production and no need to buy equipment. Users never produce more goods than are sold.

About AnyTweet

Somewhere between mainstream internet culture, startup spirit, semi-family business and craftsmanship, Vasily Danilenko and his team make creative projects based on a passion for customization and a desire to give people the tools to express themselves. Through the newest service, AnyTweet, authors are able to monetize their content by creating merchandise of their tweets.

Startup that helps men quit digital addictions raises over $2m

REMOJO is helping and inspiring hundreds of thousands of men around the world break free from digital addictions. The London-based startup gets over 50,000 users per month and has raised over $2m in investment.

“So we really want to see what happens to the world, to our culture and to the quality of people’s relationships when 100 million guys commit to making the change and being their absolute best.” – Jack Jenkins, CEO of REMOJO

Studies report that 39% of men aged 15 to 29 watch p*rn daily*. When you consider that on average boys are exposed to it at 11 years old, it’s no wonder that the number of teen and adult regular p*rn users is so high. Unfortunately, high p*rn use has been associated with significant problems, such as mental health issues, relationship breakdowns and ED: 28% of men under 40 suffer from ED (vs 5% in 2001)**.

In response to p*rn’s negative effects, many users are waking up to the idea of quitting to experience better lives.

“We’re getting 50k users a month joining this fast movement,” says Jenkins. “Men all over the world (REMOJO is present in almost every country) are waking up to what they consume and how they live their lives. Our users want to quit p*rn to free their mind, achieve a better life and live by their values.”

REMOJO provides a complete path to freedom or recovery with progress tracking, blocking p*rnography content, filtering with AI technology, in-app courses and anonymous community support.

The app is available for Android, iOS, Mac and Windows systems. It is designed for men between the ages of 16 and 35, who have an unwanted p*rn habit and want to quit for good.

Mother-Daughter Cookware Startup Launches Most Versatile & Innovative Cooking & Grilling Product This Century

Basquettes is the #1 New Multi-Functional Tool Home Chefs Need to Elevate Their Culinary Game

As the race among culinary brands to create alternative products that rival industry namesakes continue, one direct-to-consumer, mother-daughter cookware startup is poised to come out on top as this week, the duo announced the launch of Basquettes, which is arguably the most versatile and innovative new cooking and grilling tool to hit the market this century.

Basquettes is a revolutionary piece of cookware and grillware designed to air-fry, grill, smoke, roast, rotisserie, dehydrate, crisp and cool. Easily replacing large appliances and multicookers that take up precious counter and cabinet space like air-fryers, dehydrators, rotisserie ovens, indoor grills, grill baskets, smokers and more, Basquettes is comprised of two multi-functional and multi-positional nesting baskets, each of different heights, that feature removable and adjustable tops, plus patent-pending intertwining legs, allowing users to easily stack, flip and cook multiple levels of different foods at the same time, whether on the grill or in the oven. This six-piece set allows the user to mix and match the pieces to achieve endless cooking and grilling possibilities.

“You multi-task, so your cookware should too. It’s as simple as that,” said Lauren Wilmot, the 28-year-old president of Basquettes. “After my mom and I first saw a bulky air-fryer with a tiny cooking basket, we knew we could create something better. Using friends and family as a focus group to better understand what people needed to carry out their favorite recipes, we took in every piece of feedback and re-designed over and over. Twenty-four prototypes later, and numerous manufacturers telling us ‘no’ along the way, we’ve finally developed the “Swiss Army Knife” of cooking and grilling products. Unlike the ‘new but not really’ fry-pans and single-use gadgets currently on the market, Basquettes is a groundbreaking invention that will truly inspire and reignite the joy of cooking and grilling.”

“As versatile as it is innovative, Basquettes empowers you to unleash your culinary creativity,” said Elizabeth Wilmot, vice president of Basquettes and Lauren’s mother. “When cooking in the oven, you can stack the two baskets with a protein on top and veggies on the bottom, then the juices from the protein will drip down and flavour the veggies without them sitting in grease. Or you can use the baskets separately with the tops on to hold snacks like kale chips or chicken wings in place for easy flipping and even cooking. On the grill, you can remove the legs and tops and use just the baskets to keep small foods like shrimp from slipping through the grates or put the tops on to prevent crumbly foods like stuffed sliders from falling apart while flipping. For smoking or rotisserie, keep the legs on to elevate food from the heat. Whichever way you choose to use Basquettes, it will bring fun back to cooking while giving you valuable time to spend with family and friends.”

From elaborate holiday dinners of lamb and potatoes to everyday meals and snacks of beef jerky and French fries, Basquettes’ all-in-one capabilities help consumers make easier, faster and healthier food. The heightened position of the wire baskets enables grease to drip through and air to circulate, resulting in healthy eats, fast cooking times and up to 50% less grease. Basquettes is also PFOA and PTFE free, scratch and corrosion resistant, and the stainless-steel construction means the baskets are safe for metal grill tools and dishwashers.

Priced at $198 including shipping, Basquettes can be purchased at https://basquettes.cooking/. Be sure to follow @BasquettesCook on Facebook and Instagram for fun recipes and the latest product updates.

Pharmacy Opens with Help of Small Business Boost

BankPlus and FHLB Dallas Partner on Loan for Northtown Pharmacy

It’s only been a few weeks since Dr. Andrew Clark opened the doors of Northtown Pharmacy, and he already feels at home and optimistic about the business’s future at the corner of Old Canton Road and Northtown Drive in Jackson, Mississippi.

A new pharmacy has opened in Jackson, MS, thanks to a Small Business Boost (SBB) loan from BankPlus and FHLB Dallas. Tweet this

The independent pharmacy opened June 1 with a loan from BankPlus that was combined with a $100,000 Small Business Boost (SBB) loan from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) and BankPlus that provided gap funding.

SBB is offered by FHLB Dallas through member financial institutions like BankPlus to provide financing for qualified small business transactions by filling the gap between the loan amount that an FHLB Dallas member institution can fund and the loan request made by an eligible small business. SBB loans are unsecured and subordinate to the primary loan made by the member financial institution.

“The Small Business Boost loan allowed me to free up capital to stock and staff the pharmacy so that all my capital wasn’t tied up in the purchase of the building,” Dr. Clark said.

Mark Ouellette, first vice president and director of Affordable Housing at BankPlus, said the bank is a long-time advocate of the FHLB Dallas loan program, which provides “gap” funding for startups and existing businesses that have a great business plan but who might not have enough equity to qualify for a more traditional bank loan.

“Startups like Northtown Pharmacy may have a stellar business plan but may lack equity to fund both the brick-and-mortar and the first-year operational costs, which can be daunting for small business owners,” said Mr. Ouellette. “The Small Business Boost allowed Dr. Clark to purchase a great building while maintaining a capital cushion for first-year operations.”

Another advantage of SBB is that the borrower does not begin to repay the loan until after the first year. This feature is designed to help a small business build critical cash flow during the first year of the loan.

Of BankPlus’s 28 SBB loans since the program was launched in 2019, 15 were startups.

Greg Hettrick, first vice president and director of Community Investment for FHLB Dallas, said access to capital is key for the success of small businesses.

“Access to capital for small businesses can be difficult to obtain,” he said. “We created the SBB program to help our member financial institutions fill the gap between what they can lend a small business and what that business needs to be successful. BankPlus has seen the value of this program and has taken the ball and run with it.”

Northtown Pharmacy is owned and operated by Dr. Clark who has already hired his first employee, a graduate intern on her way to becoming a full-time pharmacist. It expects to eventually have as many as five employees, he said.

The pharmacy is in a neighborhood that Dr. Clark calls home.

“I live in the community that the pharmacy serves, and my kids go to the schools in the community,” he said. “Being able to say we live here, go to school here and have an interest in what is going on in the community makes a difference. It shows you care.”

Sustainability startup launches app to help people become active consumers

On Earth Day, The Active Consumer is rolling out the mobile app ‘Econus’ to spark positive change and reduce environmental impact through tangible actions

What is the true cost of consumption?

This is the question entrepreneur and sustainability activist Scott Fletcher asked himself when considering the impact of human buying habits on our world.

According to Fletcher, consumption may seem benign and necessary as people fulfill their range of needs, but in reality it has many unintended and negative consequences. Added up, the items humans purchase may be contributing to everything from air pollution to worker exploitation, animal cruelty, and even the rise of healthcare premiums for all.

Fletcher’s solution was to create a way for people everywhere to rethink the impact of their consumption and change their buying behaviors for the betterment of the planet.

With The Active Consumer, the goal is to reduce the impact of everyday purchases by giving “purpose to our spare change, and our spare change to purpose.” Fletcher’s vision is for individual consumer actions to influence systemic change.

Now, on the heels of the launch of their website earlier this month, Fletcher and his team are launching a new mobile app on Earth Day (April 22). “Econus” uses the theory of externalities to empower consumers to engage in the economics behind consumption to reduce negative unintended consequences and spark positive change.

With the app, users can align with specific causes, link the purchases they make with these causes, and choose a non-profit that will receive their Rounded-Up spare change whenever a select purchase affects their cause. For example, a user passionate about supporting environmental causes can choose to link purchases like power bills, gas, and travel expenses to the cause of air quality and have the spare change from those purchases go to an organization like Moms Clean Air Force.

As a social app, Econus also allows users to create “Preference Personas” and connect with like-minded individuals to crowdfund for the charitable causes that matter to them.

“We all have to buy things to live, whether that’s dinner for the family or transportation to and from work,” Fletcher said. “We are excited to have created a unique and disruptive app that will allow people living their lives to simultaneously reduce their footprint and make our world a better place.”

Startup Studio Insider: eFounders Opens Up About the Startup Studio Space

Startup studios are shaking up the world of startups. They build companies, offering shared resources and operational support through ideation, launch, and growth stages. Leading players of the startup studio industry, such as eFounders, are reshaping and transforming the startup space. To understand the journey and impact of this studio, Startup Studio Insider, a community of startup entrepreneurs and enthusiasts, got the chance to interview the eFounders staff and hear about their business and what makes them unique.

Founded in 2011 in Paris, France, by Quentin Nickmans and Thibaud Elziere, eFounders has dedicated its focus and innovation to developing B2B SaaS startups. With offices in Brussels, Belgium, eFounders has helped build 27 software solution startups to date!

The startup studio is also responsible for producing innovative business software solutions such as FrontMention, and Aircall and most recently, their company portfolio generated $148M in revenue, with a consolidated valuation of $1.5B.

The eFounders team gave insight into their approach to building business and what makes their company unique. Check out their interview and insights below!

Q1: What sets you apart from the rest of the competition in the startup studio space?

The key difference with integrated studios lies in the fact we’re building independent ventures from both operational and financial standpoints. This means that eFounders does not provide shared resources in consulting mode to independent companies nor provides funding to independent companies. Instead, eFounders acts as a co-founder involved in every aspect of the company and covers all costs until the company becomes independent. Founders are in the driver’s seat, they build their own company, and eFounders is dedicated to providing as much help as it can along the way.

Q2: How would you describe your studio’s approach to developing new ideas?

The initial idea will in most cases come from the eFounders team. The numerous rich discussions we have through our deep exposure to entrepreneurs, companies, investors, and more generally the global SaaS ecosystem are the key source of inspiration for new pain points to solve.

An idea for us generally involves (1) a pain point we want to solve, and (2) a first mock-up of the initial MVP – a simple solution to start solving the pain point while providing enough value to users. It’s important to understand how the idea will evolve as we work together on translating our team’s experience and vision with the final founding team.

Q3: What services do you offer your startups?

It takes around 18 months to build a company starting from the initial idea. During this phase, the eFounders team is fully hands-on alongside the founding team, working on product, design, strategy, go-to-market, recruiting, funding, etc. Besides being extremely hands-on, our core objective is to build a team and help them become progressively autonomous on each of these dimensions.

Twelve people work in our core team. They support each project on recruiting, product, design, marketing, sales, finance, legal, and more strategic topics. Most importantly, the priority of each core team member is to help build a fully independent team for each project. It’s also worth noting that we don’t have software engineers in the core team working on new products. This is intentional as we find we generate the best results by working with y engineers who have been recruited specifically for each company based on their expertise.

Q4: What does the studio’s level of involvement look like after the business has launched? What unique benefits does the startup studio model provide entrepreneurs?

eFounders remains a key shareholder and continues to help the founders and the team on strategy and funding, as well as on operational issues (e.g., recruiting, team structuring, etc.). We generally stay very close to the company, as we maintain strong relationships with the founders and know the business very well.

To read some additional content about startup studios, check out Startup Studio Insider. It is a comprehensive guide to the startup studio model, and it is growing its community of followers and readers through its extensive research and insightful content.
