COTS Multi Domain Worldwide International C5ISR System For Battlespace Awareness

Forces at the edge have access to data and C2 capabilities that were not previously possible.

In 2021, the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff laid the groundwork for an overall command and control strategy. The effort will consist of continuous experimentation phases which are used to create a common data fabric. This will ensure each service has the “best solution” for its needs. In the words of Lt. Gen. Dennis Crall, chief information officer at the Joint Chiefs of Staff, this approach by JADC2 will “bring order to our efforts in the command and control arena to sense, make sense and act all at the speed of relevance.”

Meanwhile, over the last two decades, system developers at Advanced Ground Information Systems (AGIS) have succeeded in designing, developing and delivering a Worldwide International C5ISR system. This U.S., NATO, Australian system addresses most of the critical and complex components of the JADC2 (Joint All Domain Command and Control) common data fabric and includes integrated voice and Full Motion Video between 1,000’s of users. During this time period, earlier C5ISR versions have been used by the JCS J6 on various military exercises. AGIS offers to make this updated C5ISR system available for use and testing to JADC2 as a COTS product under our existing JCS J6 warranty at no additional cost.

Interfacing U.S. and NATO C5ISR Systems’ Synchronized COP
The lack of interface commonality between disparate Air, Ground and Sea communication systems has created an incompatible data link spaghetti farm of standards. Our resilient battlespace aware system combines the most often used data links into an inclusive Multi Domain Data Link (MDDL) standard that supports a synchronized common operational picture (COP) for operator actions. It then reconstitutes the data into a format usable by the interfacing Air, Ground and Sea U.S. and NATO C5ISR systems. This includes: JVMF, OTH Gold, CoT, Link-16 and NATO NFFI, ADEM and NVG data links and intelligence data from ELINT, SAR, Radar, AIS, ADS-B and other sensor reports.

AGIS’ C5ISR system includes the ability to direct Link-16 equipped aircraft and AFATDS to engage operator identified hostile targets.

Communications and Networks
AGIS, C5ISR system architecture accommodates and has been tested with HF radios, VHF radios, 5G cellular and a multi spectrum MESH and various satellite networks in differing configurations. The system can use various combinations of these communications and can shift between communication types. The MDI software operates both in a terrestrial mode (with up and down the Chain of Command server to server communications between units) or in a Cloud or in a combined environment connecting forces from headquarters to the tactical edge.

Expanding Commercial and Military Satellite Sensor Reports
There has been an exponential rise in the availability of both military and commercial satellite sources of sensor reports including ELINT, SAR, Radar and other data. This has resulted in massive amounts of sensor reports (10,000+) occurring at rapid update rates.

Massive Databases
10,000 to 100,000 real time sensor returns received every minute requires massive databases. Cloud technologies (AWS GovCloud, Azure, etc.) provide our MDI C5ISR system this capability either remotely or locally using devices such as AWS’ Snowball edge. AGIS’ MDI server senses the end nodes’ capacity and automatically and appropriately proportions the rate, frequency and volume of data transmissions to the tactical edge. Our MDI C5ISR system accommodates over 10,000+ sensor reports by using the AWS GovCloud.

We have been testing 10,000+ real time sensor reports along with a small number of real C5ISR systems and100s of simulated C5ISR systems over the past year.

Enhanced Command and Control Operator Capabilities

Operational and Data Security.
AGIS protects operational data by combining several techniques. These include:
1. Password sign on.
2. 20-character private groups
3. Limited distribution message formats.
4. AES 256-bit encryption.
To this high level of protection, we have added XQ Message’s advanced Zero Trust processing which includes additional 256-bit encryption.

Hostile RF Targeting
Events in Ukraine have clearly shown that use of hostile RF Targeting has become a monumental issue. Being acutely aware of this, AGIS’ C5ISR system includes operator controls to greatly lessen the probability of RF intercept while maintaining a synchronized COP.

New Interoperability Interfaces
Link-16 has become the most widely used international data link standard. The Blackjack program is further expanding Link-16 to enable satellite-based operations. However, once called PLRACTA, Link-16 was developed 50 years ago. Some of the newer communications methods, such as MADL (Multifunction Advanced Data Link) and CEC (Cooperative Engagement Capability) use directional communications to lessen the probability of RF tracking and offer significantly better antijam capabilities. Moreover, Link-16 is not common with artillery systems, Blue Force Tracking systems or with other U.S. and NATO systems. AGIS’ MDDL processing rapidly resolves these interoperability issues. As an example, recently in less than two weeks, AGIS enabled ADS-B and Link- 16 interoperability. For JADC2, we are willing to integrate MADL or CEC into AGIS’ C5ISR system under JCS’ existing AGIS software warranty.

Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence
AGIS uses a limited form of Machine Learning in our multi radar tracking and data fusion processing. We are in discussions with an AI company to enable more rapid engagement processing within our common data fabric processing.

The U.S. JCS J6 already owns a copy of AGIS’ MDI C5ISR software provided under our warranty agreement. It is awaiting testing at their Suffolk, VA Lab.

P&C Solution Develops Korea’s First-ever ‘Standalone AR Glasses’

– Android-based “AR SMART GLASSES” to be released in the first half of next year – Through the NIPA Metaverse Global Biz Matching Road Show, is the foundation for overseas market entry.

Recently, the demand market for software and devices incorporating augmented reality (AR) is expanding beyond B2C such as games and entertainment to various fields such as defense, architecture, medical care, education, and manufacturing. With major domestic and foreign companies scrambling to launch AR glasses to preoccupy the rapidly growing smart glasses market, there are small and medium-sized companies that have challenged the global market, led by differentiated technology, price, and design competitiveness. The main leader is P&C Solution (CEO Chi-won Choi), which is about to develop and commercialize standalone type AR glasses for the first time in Korea.

P&C Solution, which participated in the ‘Metaverse CG Global Biz Matching Road Show’ organized by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), fascinated buyers with innovative technology and succeeded in making its name known to overseas markets by participating in the world’s largest virtual convergence technology (XR) exhibition.

Founded in 2015, P&C Solution is an XR specialized company that won the “XR Air Force Training Metaverse Platform Project” starting with a military training simulation project, won the Minister of Science and ICT Award in AR glass-related software, and was also selected as a “K-baby unicorn” company. Based on its own “AI engine” and “vSLAM” technologies, it has developed “AR SMART GLASSES,” which is highly utilized in various industries and is preparing to release products with the goal of the first half of next year.

P&C Solution is planning to release Android base stand-alone type products under the concept of Development Kit with the aim of the first half of next year. This product applies a new ergonomic structure and sunglasses-type design, and uses Snapdragon XR2, Qualcomm’s latest mobile chip, allowing you to enjoy augmented reality freely and comfortably on an Android background. Based on Snapdragon 855, the company aims to increase price and service competitiveness by creating AR glasses with “B2B consumer customized” that is one generation ahead of the competitor’s function.

P&C Solution said it set the demand target as B2B when it learned that ‘AR SMART GLASSES’ is highly useful as a “remote collaboration tool” during the test business with domestic companies. If a problem occurs in the production line of an overseas factory, the problem can be identified and a solution can be presented in real-time through on-site images shared by workers wearing AR glasses with cameras without visiting them in person, greatly reducing the time and cost burden.

In response, CEO Choi said, “In Korea, we have been increasing the name value of our company by conducting projects with leading companies, but there were many difficulties in overcoming from target setting to network establishment.” In the process of analyzing competitors’ demand sources and reviewing participation in exhibitions to advance overseas, I learned about the Metaverse CG Global Biz Matching Road Show organized by NIPA. We participated in the roadshow to promote “AR SMART GLASSES,” which was first developed in Korea, to overseas markets and discover various content companies to use for our glasses devices, he added.

P&C Solution announced the conference and promoted the booth through contact-free biz meetings and participated in “AWE USA 2021” (hereinafter referred to as AWE) through this roadshow. In the previous contact-free business meeting, meetings were held with more than 10 global consumers, including Israel, Singapore, and the United States.

CEO Choi said, “As part of the roadshow support program, I participated in the AWE, which was the first overseas exhibition I participated in.” At AWE, where officials from the world’s XR industry can gather to share the latest technologies and promote products at the same time, we were able to present conference topics, exhibition booths, and experience zones with NIPA support. Through the promotion of the booth, on-site biz meetings with more than 100 companies were conducted, of which NDA contracts were signed with global conglomerate A, and networks were established with leading global companies. In particular, medical and defense buyers showed high interest in their products, raising the possibility of pioneering the market.”

Furthermore, “Through the conference, we introduced a remote collaboration with AR Glasses equipped with XR platform and AI function focusing on case studies. When I heard the announcement, I was surprised that more visitors visited the booth than I thought, and I was satisfied, We have set the stage for a successful start through government-supported projects such as NIPA, so we plan to combine this opportunity well and carry out marketing and sales activities more aggressively when the “A21M (Android base/Snapdaron XR2 chip) model,” CEO Choi said.

He then said, “We are looking at the United States as our target overseas market and plan to expand the market to Southeast Asia and Europe such as Singapore and Malaysia in the future, the goal for next year is to generate more than $5 million in sales through contracts with overseas sales agencies in at least 10 countries.

P&C Solution, which experienced the positive aspects of pioneering overseas markets through AWE, will actively participate in overseas exhibitions such as MWC and AWE 2022, the world’s largest information and communication exhibitions, starting with the CES exhibition in Las Vegas in January 2022.

Meanwhile, the ‘Metaverse CG Global Biz Matching Road Show’ organized by NIPA is a project that supports global marketing activities, enters the market, and provides business exchange opportunities to small and medium-sized Korean companies that have excellent technologies and services but have difficulty developing overseas markets. The project lasted for about three weeks from November 8th to 26th this year, and six promising XR-related companies in Korea participated.

RBG Opportunity Zone Fund

The mission and impact of RBG Opportunity Zone Fund is to restore, build, and grow local communities by investing in low and middle income regions to create and develop Opportunity Zone Real Estate and Businesses leveraging the significant tax benefits under The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 passed by the US Congress. The selected portfolio companies will possess a strong investment thesis and meaningful social and environmental impact including sustainable workforce & affordable housing to enable economic growth and community redevelopment. The Fund’s business investments will focus on novel technologies within product solutions targeting large unmet consumer, commercial, and industrial market needs. By coupling a strong fundamental investment thesis, the significant federal and state tax benefits of the opportunity zone program, and other stackable federal and state tax programs, investors will now have the opportunity to maximize their investment returns.

RBG’s approach to strategically invest in businesses and real estate will generate positive economic trickle-down effects, increasing the demand and availability for local jobs and businesses, raising property values, and reducing crime.

Targeted geographic areas include Delaware, California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

Targeted business investments by the RBG Fund will be in the areas of high tech manufacturing for disruptive product solutions enabled by innovative and patented technologies. This includes:

-Green Lighting Technology from Azentive, LLC emulating true sunlight indoors for completely regenerative food growth in California and New Jersey.
-World Changing Technologies with Noitavonne™ Inc., in the heart of Black Wallstreet in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
-Collaborating with the founder of Yor Water with Cutting Edge Technology platform for live streaming and e-commerce.

Targeted real estate investments by the RBG Fund will be in the areas of workforce, affordable, and transitional housing for average median income (AMI) families, veterans, people with disabilities, neurodivergent population & senior citizen population, as well as aging out youths, and reentry population. This includes:

-Innovative mixed-use affordable housing development
-Commercial and/or residential land uses near transit hubs
-Retail & commercial office space
-Supportive services
-Entrepreneurial Innovation hubs and more
-5G broadband

We are also evaluating potential investment opportunities within advanced nanomaterials, battery cell design & engineering, and battery manufacturing technologies. Given the explosive growth in electric vehicles and the rapidly increasing global adoption of wind and solar power generation, there will be an exponential increase in demand for Lithium-ion batteries over the next 10 years to power the EV’s and store the energy from wind and solar.

Opportunity Zone Tax Incentives

Opportunity Zones are designed to spur economic development by providing tax benefits to investors. First, investors can defer tax on any prior Capital Gains deposited into a Qualified Opportunity Zone Fund (QOF) for up to five years. Then, after five years they will only be required to pay taxes on 90% of the original amount deposited thanks to a “10% Step Up Basis.” Additionally, those deferred taxes at 90% will only be assessed at the CURRENT rate of 23.5% and therefore are likely to avoid far higher future capital gains tax rates.

Finally, after a required ten-year minimum term, the initial amount deposited PLUS all the accrued interest derived from QOF property (real estate and business stock) can then be withdrawn from the QOF entirely tax free.

Today – 0% Tax Due – One million dollars invested today will appreciate tax free for five years.

5 Years – 10% Step Up Basis on Deferred Capital Gains tax due at 23.5% assessed on $900,000, which is 10% less the total one million invested.

10 Years – Tax Free – If Opportunity Zone investment generates another 9 million in profit over the ten-year term the entire 10 million can then be withdrawn tax free.

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 offers an extraordinary tax break to investors by allowing them the opportunity to defer certain capital gains by investing them in qualified Opportunity Zone investments. Opportunity Zones are specially created geographic districts that allow investors to receive substantial tax breaks for investing in these zones, including the potential for avoiding taxes on gains altogether.

The monies eligible for investment extend only to realized capital gains from the sale of any property to an unrelated person. These capital gains can come from any asset class and do not have to be placed through an intermediary. Investors are eligible for tax deferral on such gains up to the amount of such gains that are invested in a certified Qualified Opportunity Fund within 180 days of the sale date (See “Income Tax Considerations – Opportunity Zone Investment”).

QOZF BENEFITS TO THE TAXPAYER / INVESTOR

Taxpayers may defer paying tax on capital gains, if such capital gains are invested in a QOF, within 180 days from the gain. The deferral period ends the earlier of when the taxpayer sells its interest in the QOF or the 5-year mark. Investments held for 5 years prior to that date will also qualify for a 10% increase in the tax-payer’s tax basis of the amount of the deferred gain. Any taxpayer that holds its investment for a minimum of 10 years, can achieve no capital gain tax on the appreciation of its investment.

REGINA ROBINSON – Fund Manager

Regina Robinson has managed multi-million-dollar portfolios for the past twenty-five years. She would consider herself a “portfolio surgeon mastermind” who takes an unhealthy portfolio and will RESTORE it and make a trained Olympic Winner out of it. As such, she has managed and turned million-dollar budget shortfalls from red to into the black. Ms. Robinson has extensive experience managing multimillion-dollar portfolios for manufacturing companies and public entities. Prior to entering the public sector, she was last responsible for managing a $450MM portfolio for one of the largest Fortune 500 Companies. Currently, she serves as the Chief Financial Officer of one of the largest educational systems in the State of New Jersey and is responsible for the business and operational affairs of an $810MM entity. Ms. Robinson has overseen major projects that include environmental remediation, natural gas conversions, structural assessments and repairs, of more than five million square feet of instructional space.

Building and Growing sustainable communities is a long standing commitment of Regina. She shows her gratitude to pay it forward by serving as the Founder and President of Crossroads Community Resource Development Center, a nonprofit dedicated to the development of supportive services that promote and sustain the education, social and economic well-being of children, families and communities in underserved areas. She also serves on the Board of Directors of The Chrysalis Initiative which provides Black women and other disparate groups tools to address racism in their cancer care, with the purpose of erasing the line of inequality in breast cancer care.

BERNICE JOHNSON – Fund Manager

Bernice Johnson is a reticent person by nature and prefers to BUILD a company behind the scenes given the opportunity. Ms. Johnson has been involved in real estate in various property sectors for almost 20 years. She has played a key role in numerous real estate acquisitions and dispositions, property management, and oversight of construction projects totaling in the multi-millions. Ms. Johnson has a real estate license in two states and an insurance license for life, property and casualty. Ms. Johnson has an extensive history of supporting small businesses and has dedicated herself to tackling problems with transformative solutions. She has held a variety of positions in marketing, sales, social media, procurement, public safety, risk mitigation, business development, operations, and compliance. Ms. Johnson also works for Tisdale Legal Group, PLLC., which is a real estate and labor & employment law firm. She serves as a VP for a national and international engineering firm and a Director of Business Development for Eazy Do It, Inc., which is the number 1 opportunity zone fund development company in the USA.

GWENDOLYN “GWEN” SAMUEL – Fund Manager

Ms. Gwen Samuel is a mom, education and economic freedom activist, and a community relations consultant with a national reach. Ms. Samuel has founded three Connecticut community-based organizations on her decades-long advocacy to help GROW communities and has championed two historical parent empowerment bills that became law in Connecticut.

Ms. Samuel has presented workshops at various educational conferences and colleges throughout the country, including the U.S. Department of Education; as well as testifying before Congress at the Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education. The hearing examined state and local efforts to increase parental engagement and educational opportunities. In recognition of her work, Parenting Magazine selected Ms. Samuel as one of fifty-one moms, representing their state, at the inaugural Mom Congress on Education and Learning in D.C. She was featured in Parade Magazine, Mother’s Day edition, “Moms We Love: Four Women Doing Amazing Work to Help Others.” Also, Ms. Samuel was featured in the book about public education entitled “Waiting for Superman” and was a panelist for NBC’s Education Nation.

Ms. Samuel launched an “Urban Experience in Family and Community Engagement (F.A.C.E.)—helping Teachers Transition into Diverse Classrooms and Community” workshop series. This parent-led “Urban Experience in Family and Community Engagement Workshop Series” provides educators, administrators, and lead school support staff with solution-oriented strategies critically needed to build sustainable relationships with parents, families, and communities who are marginalized within the educational system.

Ms. Samuel participated in the Denver Colorado Leadership Program of the Rockies (LPR) with a focus area on training emerging leaders in America’s founding principles while teaching and fine-tuning the leadership skills necessary to impact public policy. In addition, she co-founded the Connecticut Charter Oak Leadership Program which focuses on teaching and fine-tuning the leadership skills necessary to impact public policy.

Nexus Circular achieves another waste-to-virgin plastics milestone as subsidiary of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC invests to accelerate global growth

Nexus maintains leadership within industry while deepening relationship with key collaborator

Nexus Circular (Nexus), the leading circular waste-to-virgin plastics recycler, announced today a meaningful investment from Six Pines Investments LLC (“Six Pines”), a subsidiary of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC (“CPChem”). In an effort to meet outsized demand for circular plastics made from waste, Nexus has continued to ramp production at its Atlanta commercial plant to a record-setting > 4.5 million lbs. (2 million kilos) of consistent, ISCC Plus certified output produced and sold to clients who create virgin, recycled-content, resins for their customers. CPChem, a leader in production of such resins in the US, has identified Nexus as an important collaborator in reaching its ambitious goal of 1 billion pounds of circular polyethylene by 2030. Six Pines’ meaningful investment in Nexus is an important step in meeting this goal and in accelerating the transition to a circular economy for plastics.

The 2016 – 2019 Genesis G90 Is Crowned 2021 WheelsTV POV of the Year

At the twelfth annual WheelsTV POV of the Year judging, the 2016 – 2019 Genesis G90 luxury sedan takes the Platinum Wheel.

The joy of vehicle ownership can be an illusive feeling that quickly wanes with each expensive trip to the repair shop or aching back after a long cross-country road-trip. To find a vehicle that still makes us smile even after thousands of miles behind the wheel can be as rare as finding a diamond ring on a sandy beach. Undeterred, we embarked upon this quest a dozen years ago with the institution of the WheelsTV POV of the Year award or POVY.

While many awards are given to new vehicles as they roll off the assembly line, to be named the WheelsTV POV of the Year, each vehicle must prove its exceptional value after thousands of miles of day-to-day service on North America’s roads. The pre-owned vehicle that receives this accolade must have been in service for at least two years, must demonstrate outstanding long-term reliability and must achieve exceptional levels of consumer satisfaction.

Selecting the WheelsTV POV of the Year is a multi-step process. The judging panel of nine automotive experts spanning the fields of television, radio, print and online media meet in a closed session to first select category winners in nine very different classes: Hybrid, Electric, SUV, Crossover, Sporty Car, Small Car, Family Car, Light Truck and Luxury Vehicle. From these nine finalists, and after much discussion, analysis and horse (power) trading, a winner of the Platinum Wheel eventually emerges.

In this, the POVY’s twelfth year, the pre-owned Genesis G90 was a standout among eighty finalists, garnering a majority of the judges’ votes for its outstanding value, reliability and high consumer satisfaction.

When informed of the award, Jarred Pellat, Manager, Public Relations, Genesis Motor North America, stated, “Genesis is pleased that our flagship sedan G90 has been so warmly received by customers and industry experts since its arrival in the US market in 2016. G90 represents the pinnacle of elegance and comfort in our lineup, and we are pleased to have been named 2021 WheelsTV POV of the Year.”

This year’s judging panel was composed of nine members of the automotive press spanning television, print, Internet and radio. New England Motor Press Association members included John Zangari, Co-Host of Drive-Thru Radio on WPRV-AM 790 and 99.7 fm WPRO in the greater Rhode Island area; Craig Fitzgerald, editor of Subaru Drive and contributor to Hagerty’s online buyers’ guides; Lisa Brock, Executive Director of NEMPA; Rick DeMeis, host of Rick’s Tech Talk; and Rich Taber, Co-founder RPM News Weekly.

Automotive television was represented by Wayne Carini, host of Chasing Classic Cars on MotorTrend Television and President of F40 Motorsports; Bill Stephens, Expert Commentator for Mecum Auto Auctions and producer of the Wild About Wheels television series; Peter Ciani, Senior Writer at WheelsTV; and Jim Barisano, President of WheelsTV. Chris King of WheelsTV moderated the online judging via Zoom.

Upon the G90’s selection, NEMPA Member Craig Fitzgerald stated, “The G90 offers everything that an S-Class, an A8 or a BMW 7 Series does, at half the price new. Used, you can purchase a G90 for the price of a loaded Camry. They’re fast, ultimately luxurious, and reliable. The warranty alone makes the G90 a better deal than any other full-size luxury sedan.”

WheelsTV President and judging panel member Jim Barisano had these observations: “The designers and engineers that Genesis brought over from Lamborghini, Bentley, Audi, Mercedes, Bugatti and BMW’s M Division have created a luxury sedan that is both POWERFUL, with its choice of either a twin-turbo V6 or a 420 horse V8, and SAFE, having been named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
