Fred Loya Insurance Company Uses SCI 360’s 360 DEMAND Review App to Automate Claims Processing, Significantly Reducing Processing Times, and Reducing Exposure by $3.8M a Year

SCI 360’s 360 DEMAND Review Application is being used by Fred Loya Insurance, a Texas-based Auto Insurance Company and the 18th Largest Hispanic Top 500 Owned & Operated Company in the United States, transforming and automating their claims processing, reducing time and increasing accuracy, resulting in an annual savings of $684,000 in Loss Adjustment Expenses and $3.8 million reduction in Liability Exposure.

360 DEMAND Review is a touchless, accurate, and time-saving solution that is revolutionizing how complex, large Insurance and Healthcare Demand Packages are processed. Fred Loya Insurance Vice President and Chief Claims Officer, Edgar Meza, stated, “The 360 DEMAND Review App is a real-time game-changer; we can triage and dissect a Demand Package accurately, with unparalleled efficiency. We’re realizing processing accuracy of over 95% and reducing average processing times from 2.5 hours to 43 seconds. This all adds up to tremendous savings, both in our risk exposure and out-of-pocket payouts.”

Michael Sturgis, SCI 360 CEO and former insurance sector executive, shared, “Automating legal document processing is a key component of our solution, making touchless claims processing a reality. 360 DEMAND Review automates each step of the claims demand process, from the ingesting of a Demand Letter from a claimant through to the triaging of the claim. Beyond automation, we introduce unparalleled accuracy, significantly reducing a carrier’s risk exposure.” Sturgis continued, “Time is of the essence when a Demand Package is presented to Insurance Claims Teams. The expedient and accurate handling of these documents is critical to ensure that carriers, and customers, are not burdened by excessive risk.”

“Using OCR technology, the SCI 360 solution accurately highlights Keywords in Demand Packages that we know have the greatest risk to our business. These Claims are immediately escalated, prioritized and addressed,” Meza explained. “The painstaking manual process our Claim representatives used to go through has been eliminated, enabling them to focus on business-critical Claims.”

Singlewire Software Launches InformaCast Incident Management

New tool offers the ability to actively manage emergencies as they unfold with notifications, resources, and reporting features

Singlewire Software, a leading mass notification technology developer, is launching InformaCast Incident Management, a new tool to help users of its InformaCast mass notification platform actively manage emergency events as they occur. InformaCast Incident Management gives users the ability to create scenarios that have all the notifications and resources organizations need to proactively handle situations as they unfold.

“We’ve always stressed the importance of getting the word out the moment an emergency occurs,” said Pat Scheckel, executive vice president of product management for Singlewire Software. “Now we’re giving our users the added ability to take control of chaotic situations with InformaCast Incident Management.”

InformaCast Incident Management is a centralized location where users can designate certain notifications as relevant to a particular event. This can include the initial alert, follow-up messages, and “All Clear” messages to signal the event has been resolved. Users are also able to upload relevant resources into the incident hub to help give safety team members all the information and assistance they require to easily manage the situation. This can include safety checklists, building floor plans, and links to external resources like security camera feed. This reduces the need to navigate long lists or complex menus. When the incident is over, a report is created that allows users to review how the event was managed and inform future adjustments to ensure the most effective response possible.

“During an emergency, safety team members have a long list of tasks they need to accomplish to keep people out of harm’s way,” explained Scheckel. “With InformaCast Incident Management, they’ll never miss a step because everything they need is in one location.”

IKIN Launches Hologram Development SDK

RYZ™ tools and libraries enable developers to easily incorporate holographic content into new and existing apps and applications for business and consumer use

IKIN™, a leading provider of visual technology solutions for businesses and consumers, announced the release of its RYZ SDK, which empowers developers to create holographic and volumetric content for business and consumer applications. Through the open-source toolkit, developers have the opportunity to increase product differentiation and value by incorporating 3D content which can elicit deep emotional experiences.

“Adoption of holographic content in mainstream environments is accelerating and IKIN is empowering developer and ISV communities to expand uses which will enhance human connections,” said Joe Ward, the company’s chief executive officer. “We are giving developers the capabilities and resources to quickly create and monetize holographic content while expanding the value of existing and future offerings.”

The RYZ software development tools are integrated with the Unity Technologies development platform, creating an intuitive design environment that supports creative uses of volumetric and 3D images. Qualified developers have access to open APIs for integration and innovation, are eligible for live on-boarding and installation support from IKIN experts, and will be provided with a full-function desktop display for product simulation, testing, and validation. The display does not require goggles or masks to view holograms and has the same interactive touch screen and ambient light display capabilities as the RYZ Accessory for mobile phones that will be in beta testing shortly and slated for market in early 2022.

“We see endless possibilities for holographic content in markets like telehealth and wellness, gaming, IoT, communication, and education,” added Ward. “Access to IKIN’s tools and resources should inspire many innovative thinkers to develop and enhance products and services that impact people and businesses. We are excited to see what human, sensorial, and extraordinary experiences the market will create.”

Developers interested in authorized access to the RYZ toolkit can register at http://ikininc.com/sdk/.

In addition, IKIN will be hosting IKIN University at ITEXPO, June 22, 2021, an up-close workshop for developers at the ITEXPO conference in Miami Beach, Florida. The workshop will give developers the requisite skills and tools to add holographic content into B2B and consumer applications through live demonstrations of building volumetric content for use in existing and emerging apps and applications, transforming 2D objects into 3D volumetric holograms with facial tracking ability, and step-by-step examples from concept to finished product.
