University of Washington’s American Marketing Association Chapter Named Top 25 Internationally

The University of Washington Foster School of Business is proud to announce that its student-led American Marketing Association (AMA) chapter has been recognized as one of the top 25 chapters out of over 350 chapters internationally. This highlights the chapter’s passion and commitment to excellence in marketing.

Awarded by the American Marketing Association at an annual International Intercollegiate Conference, this distinction is a testament to the dedication, innovation, and hard work demonstrated by the members and leaders of the University of Washington’s AMA chapter.

Four UW AMA board members Erika Ito, Rachel Nguyen, Sydney Kuehner, and Brooke Amano, attended AMA’s conference in New Orleans, participating in team and individual competitions. President Sydney Kuehner also hosted a conference workshop on communication to over 150 attendees where she discussed the UW chapter’s communication strategies for the website, social media, email, and internal operations.

Sydney Kuehner expressed her appreciation, stating, “We are thrilled and honored to be recognized as one of the top 25 AMA chapters.” Kuehner went on, “This achievement reflects the passion and dedication of our incredible leadership team, who continually strive for excellence. I am grateful for the support of the university, faculty, and the Foster School of Business, and I look forward to seeing the growth and impact the chapter continues to make at the University of Washington.”

This year the chapter has implemented a series of initiatives aimed at providing members with valuable opportunities for professional development, networking, and skill-building. Ventures included a second annual Marketing and Mocktails networking event and a new Sports Marketing Regional Conference. Both events brought over 100 students, professionals, and marketing enthusiasts to the University of Washington. These efforts have not only enhanced the educational experience of its members but have also strengthened the chapter’s reputation as a leader among AMA chapters.

The University of Washington’s AMA chapter remains committed to its mission of fostering a community of marketers and ensuring students are prepared with the knowledge, skills, and network to succeed in their academic and professional endeavors by inviting students from all personal and academic backgrounds.
